Aunty Ji's.
Aunty Ji's is solid Indian comfort food, done properly. Butter chicken is rich without being sickly-sweet, the garlic chilli cheese naan is the call, and the pani puri starter is genuinely fun. Strong go-back when you want a break from nasi goreng.

Decent, not amazing.
Aunty Ji's leans dark wood and casual, big enough for a group but warm. The menu sits in the classics: butter chicken, biryanis, naan in five variations, pani puri to start. We went heavy: pani puri with the green water and tamarind chutney, butter chicken, basmati, garlic chilli cheese naan. Butter chicken was rich and balanced, not the sickly-sweet version a lot of places ship. The cheese naan is the standout, properly garlicky with enough heat to keep it interesting. Basmati was fluffy, the puri shells stayed crisp through the pour. Pricing is fair for the portion sizes, and the drinks list is bigger than most Indian spots in Bali (the bar menu sits on the table from the start). Service was attentive without hovering. Not a destination meal, but a reliable go-back.

BUBA TEA - Healthy Boba, Premium Bubble Tea, Matcha & Coffee, Canggu
Best matcha in Bali, full stop. Banana protein drink tastes like coffee in the best way, came with real macros. The ice cream palette is five flavours on a paint board. They even draw your faces on the cups.

YUKI Canggu
Sushi was sharp, the wagyu sandwich was the unexpected hit, service moved fast without rushing us. Bill stings a touch, worth it for a proper date night.

HoiAn by MeVui
Proper Vietnamese in Canggu without the Bali markup. Banh mi with real baguette crust, pho broth that tastes long-simmered, crispy spring rolls, Vietnamese drip coffee dripping into condensed milk on the side. He's at 9, she's at 8.5.
