Anandinii Organic Garden & Kitchen.
Chill Sidemen spot with rice paddy views and a fully vegan menu. Banana PB toast and avocado toast were both fresh and well made, just not our usual lane. Come for the setting, stay for the calm.

Decent, not amazing.
Open joglo pavilion, rice paddies right behind it. The setting does half the work before the food arrives. The menu is fully vegan. She had the avocado toast: sourdough, avocado, fresh tomato, pickled red onion. He had the banana peanut butter toast. Both were fresh and well made. We're not really plant-based eaters, so the food landed more on "good for what it is" than on "come back next week". What Anandinii does best is the room and the air. Cool breeze, view of the paddies, soft music, slow service that suits the place. Both of us at 6. If we lived in Sidemen we'd be regulars for the calm, even if the menu isn't built for us.

Boy'N'Cow
Big steak, five sauces, sides that actually showed up. We told them it was our birthday and they brought a dessert out. Going back.

Akar Ubud by K Club
Tartare to start, wagyu steaks each, premium cocktails through dinner. Meat was so clean we'd happily eat it raw any night. There was a live show going on while we ate. Top score from both of us.

Pison Ubud
Fish curry with crispy-skin sea bass, crispy pork belly stir-fry with a fried egg on top. Both maxed at 10. Service was fast, food came hot, sambal had teeth. Coming back this week.
