Fish curry with crispy-skin sea bass, crispy pork belly stir-fry with a fried egg on top. Both maxed at 10. Service was fast, food came hot, sambal had teeth. Coming back this week.

He ordered the fish curry. Sea bass with crispy skin, swimming in a rich curry with vegetables and a slick of chili oil on top, served alongside jasmine rice with fried shallots. The curry had real depth, the fish was cooked properly, the sambal on the side gave it an extra hit. She had the crispy pork belly with Thai basil and chili over rice, fried egg on top. The pork was crispy where it should be, tender where it should be, the basil cut through the fat exactly right. Service was quick, the room was warm and casual, the kitchen smelled like one that knows what it's doing. Both of us at 10. We'd come back any day with nothing else booked.

Secluded villa retreat in the Ubud hills, run by the K Club group. Rooms feel like you have the jungle to yourself, breakfast is strong, and the kitchen accommodates whatever you ask for. Good pick for a one-night reset if you want quiet over party.
