Arena Pub & Restaurant.
Sanur's first proper steakhouse, doubling as a pub. Lamb steak medium well, cooked exactly to spec, normal prices for the area. There's a pool table if dinner turns into a longer night. Easy recommend.

Worth a visit.
Solo for a friend's birthday at what's apparently Sanur's first proper steakhouse. Ordered the lamb steak medium well: cooked exactly to spec, decent crust, good flavour through. Mash and grilled asparagus on the side, chimichurri and a pepper sauce to dip. The place runs as a pub too. There's a pool table, the bar is full, the energy is loud in a good way. Easy place for a group dinner that can turn into a longer night. Prices are normal for Sanur, the food is reliable, and the room is warm enough for a birthday. She'd come back, ideally with a small group.

Big steak, five sauces, sides that actually showed up. We told them it was our birthday and they brought a dessert out. Going back.

Akar Ubud by K Club
Tartare to start, wagyu steaks each, premium cocktails through dinner. Meat was so clean we'd happily eat it raw any night. There was a live show going on while we ate. Top score from both of us.

Pison Ubud
Fish curry with crispy-skin sea bass, crispy pork belly stir-fry with a fried egg on top. Both maxed at 10. Service was fast, food came hot, sambal had teeth. Coming back this week.
