Kanva Ubud by K Club.
Secluded villa retreat in the Ubud hills, run by the K Club group. Rooms feel like you have the jungle to yourself, breakfast is strong, and the kitchen accommodates whatever you ask for. Good pick for a one-night reset if you want quiet over party.

Solid pick.
Kanva is the Ubud retreat from the K Club group, tucked into the jungle on the quiet side of town. The villas are set far enough apart that you barely see other guests, just the trees and the pool in front of you. Spend the morning there and you forget you are on a busy island. We stayed one night and the room delivered the privacy it promises, with a pool that opens straight onto the valley. Breakfast was the standout, properly cooked, generously plated, and the kitchen was happy to adapt anything we asked for, swap, sub, add. That flexibility at a villa is rarer than it should be. Pricing tracks the experience, you are paying for the seclusion and the design, not a beach view. Best if you want a slow Ubud night to reset between busier parts of the trip. Not the spot if you want walking-distance restaurants or a party vibe, this is the other end of the dial.

Akar Ubud by K Club
Tartare to start, wagyu steaks each, premium cocktails through dinner. Meat was so clean we'd happily eat it raw any night. There was a live show going on while we ate. Top score from both of us.

Pison Ubud
Fish curry with crispy-skin sea bass, crispy pork belly stir-fry with a fried egg on top. Both maxed at 10. Service was fast, food came hot, sambal had teeth. Coming back this week.
