Kenji Ramen (Menya Kenji) Berawa.
Ramen room in Berawa that looks the part but does not deliver the flavours. Broth was thin and underseasoned, gyoza missed the mark, portions ran small for the price. Plenty of better Japanese in Canggu.

We'd skip.
Kenji Ramen sits in the Berawa stretch of Canggu, a small Japanese-leaning spot that looks the part from the street. We gave it a shot because the menu reads right. The bowls came out clean but flat. Broth lacked depth, missing the long-simmer richness that makes the dish. Noodles were OK. Gyoza were a let-down, missing the crisp-bottom-pillowy-top texture that makes them work, and the filling was bland. Portions ran small for what we paid. For her it was a 6.5, a passable lunch she would not return to. For me it was a hard pass, the broth and the gyoza both felt several steps short of real Japanese flavour. Canggu has better Japanese options, and there is genuinely good ramen on the island if you know where to look. Skip this one.
